Our first three academic events

We're pleased to announce three events already:

1. DiploSoc event hosted by the Slovenian Embassy, around October 20 (exact date TBC). HE Iztok Jarc, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to the UK, will give a talk on the EU accession process for the states in the Western Balkans. A very relevant subject on the EU's diplomatic agenda!
There are only 30 places available for this event. We'll come back with details on registering, probably Monday.

2. DiploSoc event in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute, around October 28 (exact date TBC). Rossana Pittelli, the Institute's visual arts expert, will give a talk on "The Role of Art in Diplomacy." Art and diplomacy, explained by an Italian--it can't get better than this!
Only 60 places available--and yes, details about registering, coming in the next few days.

3. Global Poverty Project presentation on November 1, at King's (Strand); an event organized by DiploSoc in collaboration with the KCL Think Tank Society and the War Studies Society.
The Global Poverty Project is an educational and campaigning organization that activates citizens to be a part of the global movement to end extreme poverty.
Why should you attend? Because you'll get insight both into some of the most disturbing problems in the world, and into how a global campaigning organization works. By the way, GPP's Global Advisor is Hugh Jackman - yes, Wolverine! :)

So these are just the confirmed events. We've got several others close to confirmation, so it's only going to get better! We'll also update you on your email about all this.

Stay tuned!
